the envelope please...

after many many months of talking about whether to find out the gender of this baby- we decided that we would let m tell us the news. we had an ultrasound picture that showed the answer and we gave m the honors. she is very thrilled about having a little brother.

tiptoe through the tulips

we had the most beautiful tulips come this year. i picked up a bag of mixed bulbs at sams and was blown away by them. m of course had wonderful time walking through them one day. isn't she the most of them all?
(these were back in may by the way)

Green Thumb

These are M's very own roses sent by her grandma. M had a great time planting them and hopefully we'll see roses soon.

Visit to Durham

We took a quick trip to Durham to catch up with friends and check on the house. Edsel spent one day catching up on some stuff while I went to see my kids from P-town who were all at the Special Olympics. They were so excited to how M had grown and they all noticed 'the bump' growing again and knew to ask if there was another baby coming.
We are thankful to the Sotos who always seem to find a place for us to crash when we come to town. M took quite the likings to A & R. We only got a snapshot of A with M-she likes the older boys. Her daddy just doesn't know what to do.
We had a wonderful time seeeing everyone. Durham will always have a special place in our hearts.

Party in the Park

We had everyone come to the park to celebrate M's bday. It had been a beautiful week and then the weather reports came in to expect storms on Saturday. We were very lucky that the storms stayed awayed and we just got the cold weather. After bundling up the little lady we went to the park for some b-day fun. By the way that was my daddy's bike that he got on his first birthday. Thanks for saving it for me mamaw.

The BIG ONE!

She's one! What an amazing year we have had with our little girl. These are pics from her birthday proper. We played all day then went out for pizza. We opened presents and called one more grandma who couldn't come to KY. Of course what would a brithday be without cake. Mommy made a chocolate and vanilla cake -not knowing which one I would like. Can you tell which one I liked?

My Lexington friends

We have been blessed to meet some other moms during our outings to stores and libraries. A few of us have been gettting together every week since December to share our lives and let the kiddies play. Here we are at the park on what was supposed to be warm spring day. Obviously as you can see how we are dressed it wasn't that warm. That didn't stop the fun though! By the way that's M in the New Yorker jacket and purple cap. This was one of our many attempts at getting M to keep her glasses on.

Eggs..eggs. eggs

At Easter we went to Uncle John's & Aunt Max's. Madison decided that she would bump herself into a side table to create her very own easter egg... on her forehead. Of course this was 15 minutes after her cousin Luke (4 mo older) did the same thing.

After a wardrobe change and some TLC she was all set to go egg hunting.

Big hugs from Luke after full day of eggs!

as time goes by...

sorry we haven't posted in long time. i have no excuses except that I have been enjoying this beautiful baby girl so much that blogging has just been on the back burner.  we will try to catch you all up M's happenings.
